Server Rules

By joining ApostlePvP you agree to follow these rules. Not knowing a rule is not an excuse, so give them a quick read.

Last updated: Edit this date when you change the rules

1. Global rules

1.1Respect and safety

  • No DDoS, doxing, dox jokes or swatting. This includes releasing or keeping IP lists and visiting booter sites.
  • No racism, discrimination, sexual or derogatory remarks, including in direct messages.
  • No encouraging self-harm or suicide, no threats and no blackmail.
  • No disrespect or racism towards staff.

1.2Chat and content

  • No inappropriate material, links, builds, skins, usernames or faction names.
  • No spamming, advertising or starting riots.
    • Repeating a word or phrase 3 times in 10 seconds is spam.
    • Splitting one sentence across several messages is spam.

1.3Honesty

  • No impersonation of staff, banned players or anyone else. This includes changing your Discord tag or username to claim giveaways.
  • Tickets must be made by the player who needs support, never for a banned player.
  • No lying to or manipulating staff, and no framing players or staff.

1.4Do not get around the rules

  • Do not try to bypass, work around or undermine any rule, or break the spirit of a rule. This is punishable in itself, even if you did not break the exact wording.
  • If something is not listed but clearly goes against the spirit of the rules, staff can still punish it.
  • If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask staff first.
  • Using alts, allies or other members to get around a rule counts as breaking it.
  • Do not set up or bait other players into rule breaks, for example by faking evidence.

1.5Evasion

  • No bypassing chat locks, mutes or bans.
    • Alts, faction members or changing your faction tag all count.
    • Ban evasion results in an IP ban.

2. Cheating and fair play

2.1Clients and mods

  • No hacked or cracked clients, x-ray packs, macros, scripts, VPNs or hardware modifications such as rapid-fire buttons.
  • Your attack key must be left mouse button.
  • Permitted clients: Cosmic, Lunar, Badlion (no Auto Text), Crystal, Orbit and Falcun (fly boost no more than 3x), and Forge or vanilla Minecraft.

2.2Glitches and exploits

  • Report any glitch or exploit you find to staff straight away. Using one will most likely get you a ban that is not lifted.
  • Examples of exploits:
    • Enderpearl glitching
    • Glitch cegging
    • Lava or water glitching
    • Item duplication
    • Abusing /nick to avoid mutes
    • Glitching into bases (vclipping and similar)
    • Duel glitching
  • Players involved who do not report it are punished too.

2.3Screenshares

  • You may be screenshared at any time. Refusing can result in a ban.
  • Do not log out while frozen, delete or alter files or logs, or refuse to install the required tool (for example Echo or AnyDesk).
  • Do not record the screenshare.

3. Trading and economy

3.1Real-money rules

  • No selling items or accounts for PayPal or any other real money.
  • No trading in-game items for items from the store (buy.apostlepvp.com). Those deals must be done in game.
  • No chargebacks.

3.2Scamming

  • No scamming, in game or anywhere else.
  • Examples of scamming:
    • Renaming items to look like something else in the auction house
    • Creating fake warps
    • Using alts to scam
    • Taking payment and not delivering the item
  • No trading with servers that do not recognise ApostlePvP.

4. Events

4.1KOTH

  • 2 lives per player or IP. Alts cannot be used to get around this limit.
  • Souls are used and not refunded once you leave.

4.2Tournaments

  • Do not run excessively or avoid fighting to make it to the final round.
  • Camping on walls or corners to avoid fights is a tempban.

4.3Bosses

4.4Outposts

  • Do not bypass the outpost death timer.

5. Base rules

5.1Size and buffer

  • Maximum base size is 15x15.
  • The buffer is a maximum of 20 chunks, counted from the outermost base wall.
  • Leave a 15 chunk gap between the end of your buffer and the next base's buffer.
  • No walls outside your buffer.
  • One corner per faction, sister factions included.
    • Corners go to the first faction to claim them.
    • No b-claiming on corners.

    • Regen flat walls
    • Regen walls inside your base
  • Reverse layers (including regen reverse layers) are allowed between base floors.
  • One regen defence along any Warzone claim.
  • Checkboxes: one per faction, redstone checkboxes within the first 12 chunks of the base, and a fly check at the end of the buffer is allowed.
  • Bases need an obsidian cap at Y256 to protect against roof raids.

5.3Banned defences

  • These cannot be used as base defences:
    • Enchantment tables
    • Ender chests
    • Chests and trapped chests
    • Anvils
    • Fence gates and cobblestone walls
    • Brewing stands
    • Soul sand
    • Trapdoors
    • Cobwebs
    • Cakes
    • Beds

5.4Spawners

  • Do not encase spawners or spawner boxes in water, obsidian, TNT or anything else, or find another way to do it.
  • Do not place spawner boxes at different Y levels so they cannot be raided at the same time.
  • You can only mine spawners:
    • after 15 minutes with no TNT shots
    • after the cannon has been disabled
    • before a cannon has been shot

5.5Patching and raid conduct

  • Patch only inside your buffer. No wilderness patching.
  • A hand-placed obsidian block takes 5 minutes to gain its full durability.
  • Do not water protect the outside of your boxes.
  • Do not AFK checkboxes. Leave once you have checked your walls.
  • No raid detectors.
  • No bots that give an unfair advantage. A bot that only reminds you to check walls is allowed.

6. Cannoning and raiding

6.1General

  • The TNT limit is 10,000.
  • Only one faction may shoot at a base at a time. Whoever shot first continues and the other faction must stop.
  • One cannon at a time. A 30 second cooldown is needed when switching cannons.
  • No raid interfering. Enemies cannot hinder each other's raids. Only the defending faction, its truces and its allies may defend a base.

6.2Range

  • L-stackers and lofters may not shoot further than 4,000 blocks from the first defence of a base.
  • Diagonal cannons may not shoot further than 3,000 blocks from the first defence.
  • TNT and sand despawn after travelling 2,000 blocks.
  • No Y256+ detonations. Explosions above Y255 do no durability damage.

6.3Banned cannon types

  • Not allowed:
    • Worm cannons
    • TNT array cannons
    • Terrain rippers
    • Border cannons, including sliding TNT or sand into the border, using the border as a guider and shooting along it
  • Auto cannons are allowed, but cannot fire faster than every 6 seconds.

6.4Aiming

  • You can adjust your barrel left or right to line up a shot.
  • No lefty or righty shooting. That means hitting a wall beside the base to redirect TNT into the wall.
  • You cannot change the X/Z direction of TNT once it enters an enemy claim, and push L/Rs are not allowed.
  • Changing the Y level of TNT inside an enemy claim is allowed.
  • You may overstack a maximum of 40 blocks above your guider.

6.5Firing speed

  • Button spammers cannot fire faster than every 3 seconds.
  • A cannon may shoot through a maximum of 1 wall or reverse layer per button press.
    • No double tapping regular walls or reverse layers.
    • Double shooting regens is allowed if the second shot only stacks.
    • No hybriding on the second shot, unless you are overstacking 40 blocks or less above your guider.

6.6Banners

  • Do not use faction banners to update defences or bypass them.

6.7Cannon boxes

  • Maximum size is 10x10. You may claim your guider.
  • No regen walls around or near a cannon box.
  • No oceaning (using water to completely submerge the cannon).
  • Do not kill a faction member or alt to be able to /back into a cannon box.

7. Factions and teams

7.1Alliances and the ally limit

  • Factions cannot cross team.
  • Breaking this can result in:
    • A warning first, then strikes (3 strikes means disqualification)
    • A percentage of your spawners being removed
    • A temporary, permlisted or blacklisted ban
  • Only one faction per alliance can win a spot on /f top.

7.2Faction wealth and PvP top

  • No hiding value, such as spawners, to lower your faction's wealth.
  • No alt factions to boost your faction's wealth or PvP top.
  • One stronghold per faction.
  • Exploiting to gain wealth or PvP top results in a deduction or disqualification.

7.3Insiding

  • Everything a member adds to the faction belongs to the faction leader, not the player.
  • Spawners, items and money can only be removed with the faction leader's permission (3 stars), co-leaders included.
  • Do not undermine your own faction. This includes:
    • Stealing or selling from boxes or bases you do not have access to
    • Killing yourself, or joining an open faction with alts, to make it overclaimable
    • Removing faction claims or defences
    • Mining holes in the cap to let others raid
    • Fake checking walls
  • If you are kicked or leave a faction, do not use allies, alts or homes to grief it.

8. Traps

8.1Traps

  • No suffocation or crusher-style traps.
  • No cobwebbing a player's head in a 1x1.
  • Trapped players must have a 2 block high, 1 block wide space to move in and defend themselves.
  • No trapping players using nether portals.

9. Warp claims

9.1Claim limits

  • A maximum of 6 claimed chunks connected to warzone per warp or stronghold. This does not include the 4 corners.
  • Claims on alt factions can be removed. Do not claim on alts to sell claims or gain access.
  • Claiming over 6 chunks gets your claims removed without warning.
  • You can only go over the limit with claims owned by your allies.
  • No /back onto stronghold cap points.

10. Revives

10.1Revives

  • Revives are decided case by case, and video proof is required.
  • You may be revived for server bugs and glitches, and potentially for dying to hackers.
  • No revives for personal lag outs or one-shots.

11. Enforcement

Punishments scale with the offence and may skip steps for serious breaches.

11.1Punishments

  • Staff decisions are final in game. If you disagree, appeal through our Discord, never in public chat.
  • Staff may act on the spirit of a rule, not only its exact wording.
  • Ban appeals are handled in our Discord and are reviewed by senior staff.
